The Evolution of Me, LLC was conceived through learning to grow through major obstacles that I've endured in my life - inclusive of losing my father at the early age of 12, surviving molestation during my adolescent years and most recently, conquering breast cancer. It is my faith in God and my calling to reach others that the Evolution was born.
Now is the time to begin the work that God has purposed for me to do. Working with women, with some focus on contributions to the generations that follow me is significant and is being overlooked. We have a tendency to focus on the ones that reach out to us instead of those that have need and may not know where to begin. All of the work I pursue involves reach, teaching and empowering things that only one person can change - yourself!
In addition to the Evolution of Me, I also serve as a community advocate. I presently sit on the Board of Directors of Mathews Dickey Boys and Girls Club, whose focus is to provide structured recreational activities to neighborhood youths. I am also a Community Support Advocate with The Pink Angels' Foundation, whose mission is to provide empowering discussions and education on surviving and thriving through Breast Cancer.
I've had the distinct pleasure in my professional life of being recognized as one of the members of the Regional Business Council's Leadership 100, which is a network of up-and-coming young, diverse business professionals who pool their energy, enthusiasm, and skills to change the face of St. Louis as well as being named a Business Journal - Leader in the Workplace and Professional Development Advocate of the Year, via Mathews-Dickey Boys and Girls Club.
My educational background includes a Bachelors of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University in Saint Louis, MO, a Master of Science in Project Management/ Information Management and an MBA from Grantham University in Kansas City, Kansas. I consider myself to be an avid learner and as such, have completed the FOCUS St. Louis Emerging Leaders program and is am alumnus of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative.
Family is extremely important to me. I am happily in love with and married to THE prince charming Corey Stevenson Sr. (10 years). We have three amazing children - Corey Jr. and twins Kennedi Neveah and Aaliyah Heaven. We enjoy playing board games together and spending lots of quality time together. I am also the youngest child to my mom, Eloise McClendon and dad, Howard Gordon, Sr.
The foundation of Evolution of Me was built on principles taught to her by her 3 Godmothers, Robbie Daniels, Mary McCauley and Leola Tolen and her Great-Grandmother Mrs. Laura J. Cain - who lived to be 109 years old! They are to continue to strive for excellence, to be courageous and thoughtful and to always keep God first and at the center of all things!
Here is where we EVOLVE!
"I am Tough & Tender, Brave & Afraid, Strong & Struggling - all of these at the same time."
